Ribble Valley proves purrrfect sport for classic car enthusiasts
CLASSIC car enthusiasts from across Great Britain converged on the private grounds of Gibbon Bridge over the weekend in a dazzling display of new and vintage Jaguars.
More than 40 members of the Jaguar XJ Club spent their Spring Weekend Tour exploring the beauty spots of Pendle, Lancaster, and the Ribble Valley from our hotel.
Proprietor Janet Simpson, a classic car fan and proud owner of a 1939 Derby Bentley, said the hotel has become a nationwide hub for visiting car clubs.
“The spectacular surroundings, quiet country lanes and private and secure parking at Gibbon Bridge is why we’ve become so attractive to Vintage Car Clubs and Societies to base their tours and rallies here,” added Janet.
“It was wonderful to welcome the Jaguar Drivers’ Club XK Register along with other clubs such as the Rolls-Royce rally and Britain by Bentley Tour.
“Members are always somewhat pleasantly surprised at how truly beautiful this part of Lancashire is.”
