Eating the Seasons at Gibbon Bridge

DINING at Gibbon Bridge is about engaging the senses and eating the seasons.

From tender cuts of locally-reared meat and the freshest fillets of fish . . . to hand-picked fruits and a rainbow of root vegetables plucked daily from our kitchen garden and bursting with flavour

In the hands of hotelier Janet Simpson and head chef Gary Buxton, these delicious raw ingredients are transformed into plates of pure pleasure for mid-week lunches, formal dinners, legendary Sunday lunches and special occasions.

Over in the onsite bakery, pastry queens Janet Bamber and Grace Holland create delicious desserts, home-baked breads and biscuits, freshly-churned ice-creams and preserves using home-grown fruits.

Owner Janet Simpson believes a dining experience at Gibbon Bridge is more than just ‘eating with your eyes’, or enjoying the taste, touch and texture.

It is a combination of all these, coupled with culinary creativity and outstanding ambience in spectacular surroundings.

For first-time visitors, you will find Gibbon Bridge situated just 15 minutes from Clitheroe and 25 minutes from Preston, yet nestled deep in the Forest of Bowland. Just follow the brown tourist signs, conveniently dotted around the area to guide you in to this venue with a view, boasting ample parking and set in lush, award-winning, grounds.

There are various eating areas, depending on the size of your party and whether you wish to enjoy formal, occasion, or al fresco dining. For all weather dining there are our heated dining huts where you can share delicious food platters with friends or freshly-made pizza baked in the outdoor clay ovens. Situated within the grounds, but in their own private gardens, the al fresco area is ideal for private parties.

Kick off the new season with some foodie fun at Gibbon Bridge.
